Div Com Kashmir urges departments for befitting KIWG arrangements

Chairs preparatory meeting for Winter Games

Srinagar: While reviewing the preparations for Winter Games, today Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri impressed on concerned departments for ensuring befitting arrangements for 5th Edition of Khelo India Winter Games (KIWG) at Gulmarg.

Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Director Tourism, Director Urban Local Bodies, Director Health Services Kashmir, CEO Gulmarg Development Authority, Secretary J&K Sports Council, officers from various departments including SMC, PHE, KPDCL, R&B, MED, Transport, Airport Authority, Cable Car Corporation, Information, JKTDC, H&H, NHIDCL, Police, SDRF, CISF, HAWS and other stakeholders attended the meeting.

At the outset, Div Com reviewed arrangements regarding arrival of participants at Srinagar Airport, transportation of participants, accommodation facilities and essential services including electricity, drinking water, sanitation, Mobile Network, critical health services and mobile recovery vans.

He impressed on close coordination and synergy among all the departments besides called for effective communication among the stakeholders.

The Div Com called for flawless arrangements at the venue, and ensuring smooth conduct of the prestigious sporting event.

The officers briefed the meeting regarding the latest and overall preparations pertaining to their respective departments for smooth conduct of national sports event.
