MeT predicts light to moderate rain, snow at many places in J&K today

Srinagar:  The Meteorological Centre in Srinagar has predicted a fresh spell of rain and snowfall in Kashmir, starting today.

According to the forecast, light to moderate rain and snow are expected at most places in the Valley, with higher reaches of North and Central Kashmir likely to receive moderate to heavy snowfall.

While the weather is expected to remain dry from March 4-9, another spell of rain and snow is predicted from March 10-12.

In view of the predicted snowfall, the Meteorological Centre has advised Tourists, travelers, and transporters to follow administrative and traffic advisories.

Farmers to suspend irrigation and other farm operations until March 4.

People to avoid sloppy and avalanche-prone areas.
