DC Srinagar reviews progress on implementation of Mission Yuva

Underscores roles & responsibilities of SBDUs, BHDs

Srinagar: To review the progress on implementation of Mission Yuva, a meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat here at Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex, today.

At the outset, the DC discussed the different aspects with regard to the constitution of Small Business Development Units (SBDUs) and Business Help Desks (BHDs) under Mission YUVA.

Dr Bilal emphasized the need for seamless coordination among the Departments to provide holistic support to Nano-Enterprises and MSMEs.

He said that the initiative is a significant step towards boosting self-employment and entrepreneurial initiatives under Mission YUVA in Srinagar district.

During the meeting, Deputy Director Employment through a PowerPoint presentation highlighted the formation, roles, and responsibilities of BDUs and BHDs, ensuring their effective implementation to support entrepreneurship, financial facilitation, and business development in the district.

All stakeholders actively participated in the deliberations, highlighting their respective roles in strengthening the business support ecosystem at the district and sub-division levels.

Besides, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Syed Ahmad Kataria; Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar and Deputy Director Employment, Dr Sheeba, the meeting was attended by  Sectoral/ District Officers and all members of SBDUs and BHDs.
