Traffic Disruptions on Jammu-Srinagar NHW Due to Heavy Rain and Stone Shooting

Jammu:Heavy rainfall between Navyug Tunnel and Nashri Tunnel has caused significant disruptions on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NHW). The downpour has led to intermittent stone shooting at multiple locations, including Mehar, Kunfer, Panthyal, Gangroo, and Kishtwari Pathar, posing a risk to travelers.
According to the News Agency—Srinagar News Observer (SNO) Traffic movement remains slow at Dalwas, Mehar Marog, and Kishtwari Pathar, further adding to delays. Authorities have urged commuters to plan their journeys carefully and avoid unnecessary travel during this period. Drivers are also strictly advised not to overtake to ensure safety on the route.
