Govt Extends Deputation of IPS Officer Rajesh Kumar in CRPF for One More Year

New Delhi:The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the extension of deputation tenure for senior IPS officer Shri Rajesh Kumar (AGMUT: 95) for one more year, beyond March 18, 2025.

According to the News Agency—Srinagar News Observer (SNO) Rajesh Kumar, who serves as the Additional Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), will continue in his role under a special relaxation of the IPS Tenure Policy. The decision follows a proposal from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), which was formally approved as per an official order dated January 27, 2025.

The order was issued by Sakshi Mittal, Director, Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), and addressed to the Ministry of Home Affairs Secretary, Shri Govind Mohan.

This move underscores the government’s confidence in Rajesh Kumar’s leadership within the CRPF, as the force continues to play a crucial role in maintaining internal security and counter-insurgency operations across the country.—(SNO)
