Traffic Restored on Jammu-Srinagar Highway, Other Key Routes Remain Closed

Srinagar:Traffic movement has been restored on the Jammu-Srinagar Highway, with passenger vehicles now plying from both directions, officials said on Friday morning.
They said Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMVs) are expected to be allowed shortly.
They have urged commuters to maintain lane discipline to prevent congestion, warning that overtaking could lead to traffic disruptions.
Meanwhile, several other key routes, including the Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri Road, Bhaderwah-Chamba Road, Mughal Road, and Sinthan Road, remain closed due to adverse conditions.
Travelers have been advised to stay updated with official advisories before planning their journeys. [KNT
