Man Suffocates to Death After Fire Engulfs Home in North Kashmir

Baramulla: A disabled man died of suffocation after a fire engulfed his house in North Kashmir on Friday.

Officials said that the fire gutted a double-storey house, claiming the life of 31-year-old Zubair Siraj, son of Mohammed Siraj. He had a disability and was trapped in the attic.

Locals, along with fire and emergency personnel, worked to contain the flames and prevent further destruction. The fire caused significant damage to the house.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident and have started an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. (KNO)
