Those playing with career of students will face action: Education Minister

‘70-80% textbooks almost reached district levels’

Srinagar :Education Minister, Sakina Itoo Tuesday said that the government will take action against schools that are found playing the career of students.
Speaking to the reporters, Itoo as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said, “It is very unfortunate that some eligible students could not appear in annual regular board exams of 10th standard due to the lackadaisical approach at some levels.”
The education minister said that the government had initiated an inquiry into the matter. “Enquiry committee in this regard has been constituted and whosoever will be found guilty will face action. Playing with the career of students is unacceptable.”
“We will try to do whatever is feasible for the eligible students who couldn’t appear in Class-10 exams,” Itoo said.
Besides, the education minister further said, “Textbooks of 70-80 percent have almost reached the district levels and before the culmination of winter break, 100 percent of books will reach the students.”
Earlier, the government issued admit cards to all of the applicants following the hue and cry regarding denying of exam registration forms to 22 students of 10th standard.
Education Minister had said that the academic year of the students is very precious and the government will not waste it at any cost.
