Dry Grass and Bushes Ignite in Brari Nambla, Srinagar, Flames Controlled After Hard Efforts

Srinagar: A massive fire erupted on Tuesday in the Brari-Nambal area of Babademb, Srinagar, as a large chunk of dry grass and bushes caught fire. Winds caused the ashes to spread rapidly, creating a serious fire hazard in the vicinity.

Firefighters rushed to the spot and controlled the blaze after putting in hard efforts.

Due to the winds in the area, the fire rapidly spread to bushes and dry trees, and the ashes were blown across the surrounding areas, causing a significant environmental hazard.

A Fire and Emergency Services official told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that the fire was controlled by firefighters while locals and police also assisted them in the operation.

Meanwhile, police have registered a case to ascertain the cause of the fire.
