Police arrests Two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substances

Sopore : In continuation of its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Sopore Police has arrested two drug peddlers and recovered Contraband substances from their possession.
A police party headed by Incharge Police Post Warpora Inspector Yousuf Ul Umar under the supervision of SDPO Sopore Shri. Sarfaraz Bashir-JKPS and SHO PS Sopore Insp. Ayaz Gellani, during naka checking at Dangerpora, two suspected persons who were apprehended identified as Farooq Ahmad Dar S/O Ghulam Mohammad Dar and and Hilal Ahmad Ganie S/O Fayaz Ahmad Ganie both the residents of Dangerpora Sopore.
During the search, 140 grams of contraband charas like substance was recovered from their possession.
In this regard, case FIR No. 13 of 2025 under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Sopore and investigation has been taken up.
