Bhim Sen Tuti Assumes Charge as IGP Jammu

Jammu: Senior IPS officer Bhim Sen Tuti officially took charge as the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu at the Zonal Police Headquarters on Monday.
A 2004-batch officer of the AGMUT cadre, Tuti was appointed to the post last Thursday, replacing Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Anand Jain.
His appointment was confirmed through an official order issued by the government.
Upon assuming office, Tuti emphasized his commitment to strengthening law enforcement, ensuring public safety, and enhancing coordination between the police and local communities.
He also held discussions with senior officers to review the security situation and law and order in the region.
Tuti, known for his experience in handling law and order challenges, is expected to focus on crime prevention, counter-militancy measures, and maintaining peace in the Jammu zone. [KNT]
