Premature to comment on Budget, expecting special package for J&K: Salman Ali Sagar

Srinagar: National Conference (NC) leader Salman Ali Sagar said on Saturday that it is premature to comment on the budget, adding that his party will thoroughly assess its provisions.

Speaking to reporters, as per news agency KINS, Salman Sagar said, “We will review the entire budget and assess its impact accordingly. There will be no immediate conclusions. The budget has just been presented, and we will carefully evaluate it.”

However, the NC leader emphasized that the budget should have given greater attention to employment. “There should have been a specific focus on employment, which is a critical issue. Unfortunately, this has not been adequately addressed,” he remarked.

Sagar expressed hope that the commitments made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, especially those concerning Jammu and Kashmir, will be honored.

He added, “The Prime Minister understands the importance of his promises, and we are expecting a special package for Jammu and Kashmir.”(KINS)
