J&K Govt extends deadline for employees to submit property returns

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has extended the deadline for employees to submit their annual property returns on the PRS Portal.

News agency KINS reported that originally due by January 31, 2025, the deadline has now been extended to February 15, 2025, due to a significant number of employees failing to meet the original deadline.

This move follows Circular No. 30-JK (GAD) of 2024, urging all government employees to file property returns for the year 2024.

“Failure to do so will result in punitive action under the Jammu and Kashmir Public Men and Public Servants Declaration of Assets Act, and may also lead to penalties under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Additionally, employees who fail to submit their returns will face denial of vigilance clearance.

The General Administration Department (GAD) has emphasized that this is the final opportunity for employees to comply. Employees facing technical issues or those requiring OTP assistance are advised to update their contact information on the CPIS portal and seek support via the official email.(KINS)
