11 patients admitted, all stable & out of danger: MS GMC Rajouri

Rajouri: The Medical Superintendent of Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri, Dr Shamim Ahmed, stated on Tuesday that 11 patients have been admitted and show no signs of serious complications.

He said that all the patients are stable and are currently out of danger.

Seventeen people have died and several others were affected due to inexplicable illness in the Badhal village, which is a hilly area about 55 km away from Rajouri’s headquarters and 145 km away from Jammu city.

Multiple local and national testing agencies have ruled out any spread of disease so far.

Medical Superintendent while talking to news reporters, as per news gathering agency KINS said, “11 patients have been admitted. All of them are stable, not showing any serious complications, and are out of danger. None of the patients require ventilators or ICU care”, he assured.

Dr. Shamim Ahmed highlighted that the patients are being closely monitored by a dedicated team of doctors from various departments, including medicine, pediatrics, and anesthesia. The team is working round the clock to ensure their recovery.

Despite challenges like limited resources and staff shortages, especially after the recent Badhal incident, Dr. Ahmed praised the hospital’s medical staff for their tireless efforts.

He also acknowledged the support of the principal, who is actively overseeing the treatment.

The authorities continue to investigate the cause of the mysterious deaths while ensuring that all patients receive the best care possible.(KINS)
