Srinagar police recovered 290 bottles of Codeine Phosphate in Pantha Chowk

Srinagar: Based on credible information , a search operation was conducted by the Pantha Chowk Police Station at the residence of Irfan Ahmad Ganie, son of Manzoor Ahmad Ganie, a resident of Athawajan.

In a statement issued to Asian Mail, a police official said that the search, carried out in the presence of the Tehsildar Pantha Chowk (a Gazetted Officer), resulted in the recovery of 290 bottles of Codeine Phosphate.

He said that a case has been registered under the NDPS Act, and an investigation is underway, following the filing of FIR No. 05/2025.
