Kashmir: Shining India Foundation, a non-governmental organization (NGO) committed to social welfare, distributed 300 blankets among the underprivileged and nomadic families across various districts of Jammu and Kashmir. The initiative aimed to provide warmth and relief to those in need during the harsh winter season.
In Keller, Shopian, the NGO organized a blanket distribution drive in collaboration with the Indian Army, where blankets were distributed to needy families. The event highlighted the importance of collective efforts in addressing the needs of marginalized communities.
Similar drives were conducted in Pulwama, Budgam, Kulgam, and Poonch districts, where blankets were distributed among nomadic families and economically weaker sections. Notably, in Kulgam, special attention was given to the families of police martyrs, honoring their sacrifices by extending support in this meaningful way.
Chairman of Shining India Foundation, Mr. M. Gazi, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve the community. He stated, “This is just the beginning of our programs in Jammu and Kashmir. We are committed to facilitating the welfare of poor and needy people across various districts. Our organization will continue its efforts in the future to uplift underprivileged sections of society and support them through various initiatives.”
