Joint Forces Launch Cordon and Search Operation in Kathua’s Billawar Area

Kathua: In a coordinated effort, Special Forces of the Indian Army, in collaboration with the Jammu Kashmir Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), have launched a cordon and search operation in the Billawar area of Kathua district in Jammu region.
Sources told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that the operation was launched in response to intelligence inputs suggesting the presence of militants in the upper reaches of the district.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and are conducting extensive searches to locate the suspected militants.
Sources added that inhabitants have been advised to remain indoors and cooperate with the authorities. Additional reinforcements have been deployed to track down the militants. [KNT]
