DC Srinagar inspects District Export Hub

Stresses on making facility fully functional at the earliest to boost the Export of Goods, benefit artisans

Srinagar: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today visited ‘District Export Hub’ established under the ODOP- DEH initiative at Kashmir Haat.

On the occasion, the DC took a detailed round of various compartments of the proposed District Export Hub and inspected the facilities and the upgradation works completed to develop it on the State of the Art pattern.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the initiative has been taken with an aim to boost the Export of Goods from Srinagar District with adequate market linkage to the Industry, provide guidance regarding exports, consultancy, IT solutions, data management etc under one roof, besides strengthen support at embassy level to facilitate exporters and importers.

While interacting with the Officers, the DC gave on spot directions to make the export Hub functional as early as possible so that exporters of the Kashmir Division are benefitted from the facility.

During the visit, the DC was accompanied by Chief Planning Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, Publicity & Exhibition Officer Handicrafts, Manager Government Central Market Kashmir Haat, Officials of Handicrafts & Handloom Department Kashmir and other concerned.
