Commissioner SMC reviews preparedness of field units

Srinagar: In a proactive step to prepare for any weather forecast for the coming days, Commissioner SMC, Dr. Owais Ahmed convened a review meeting with concerned officials, here.

The meeting discussed strategies aimed at ensuring public safety and minimizing disruptions during the expected weather conditions.

Commissioner highlighted the importance of preparedness and collaboration among various departments within the SMC. “As we brace for significant snowfall, it is essential that we are ready to face any challenges that may arise,” he emphasized. “Our main goal is to ensure the safety of our residents and the smooth operation of essential services.”

The meeting addressed several key areas, including snow removal strategies, emergency response protocols, and effective public communication plans. Officials were urged to remain alert and responsive, with measures in place to swiftly tackle any issues that may develop as the weather conditions change.
