Snowfall: GMC Srinagar ensures uninterrupted Healthcare services to patients

Principal/ Dean GMC Sgr, Administrator Associated Hospitals conduct inspection of all associated hospitals; take stock of patient care

Srinagar:  Amidst heavy snowfall in the valley, the Associated Hospitals of Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar continued to provide uninterrupted healthcare services to patients.

The hospitals have been equipped to handle any emergencies, and the staff has been working tirelessly to ensure patient care.

Principal/ Dean Prof. Dr. Iffat Hassan and Administrator Associated Hospitals Mohamad Ashraf Hakak conducted a thorough inspection of all associated hospitals to ensure seamless patient care. They assessed the availability of staff, central heating systems, electricity, water supply, and medicines.

The inspection team visited several hospitals, including SMHS Hospital, Super Specialty Hospital, Govt Children Hospital, Govt Bone & Joint Hospital, Govt Chest Disease Hospital, Lal Ded Hospital, and Kashmir Nursing Home. They reviewed the status of snow clearance and the overall preparedness of the hospitals.

In addition to the hospital visits, Prof. Hassan and Hakak also visited the Govt Boys Hostel Bemina, where they interacted with undergraduate and postgraduate students. They inquired about the facilities available and the students’ well-being during the snowfall.

Prof. Hassan  emphasized the importance of providing all possible healthcare services to patients, despite the challenging weather conditions. They commended the hospital staff for their dedication and hard work in ensuring uninterrupted services.

The administration has taken all necessary measures to ensure patient safety and comfort during the snowfall. The snow clearance teams have been working tirelessly to ensure clear access to the hospitals.
