Srinagar : Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Kumar Bidhuri on Friday said that all the arrangements have been put in place to ensure that people don’t face any inconvenience due to snowfall.

Talking exclusively to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the Divisional Commissioner said, “We are monitoring the situation. All the Deputy Commissioners, Heads of Departments and other officials have been directed to keep the men and machinery ready.”

He said, “The snow clearance machines are out on the roads. All the DCs and HODs have been directed to ensure that there is no disruption in the essential services. Entire official machinery is on its toes.”

Pertinently, plains in south and central Kashmir have been witnessing continuous snowfall since this afternoon and the weatherman has predicted that intermittent spells of snow will continue till Saturday.
