Red Cross, First Aid awareness programme held at Govt Women Polytechnic College Srinagar

Srinagar: A day-long Red Cross and first aid awareness programme was on Friday organized by J&K Red Cross for the students of Govt Polytechnic College Women Srinagar.

Around 70 students, faculty members and Red Cross staffers participated.

G.A Qureshi Honorary Treasurer was the chief guest on the occasion. In his introductory speech, Qureshi elaborated the role and noble mission of the Red Cross movement and the importance of First Aid for the younger generation. He enjoined upon the youth to prepare themselves for helping the needy voluntarily and selflessly.

Earlier, Principal of the College, Er. Mohammad Shafi formally welcomed the guests and participants.

 Dr. Aasia Noor gave a presentation on First Aid.

A YRC unit was established in the said college and also sanitary pads were distributed among the students. Certificates of participation were also distributed among the participants.
