District Development Commissioner Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin Lauds Khyber Cement’s Community and CSR Initiatives

Srinagar: Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin (IAS), District Development Commissioner Srinagar, along with senior government officials, visited Khyber Industries in Khonmoh to review the company’s mining operations and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The visit highlighted Khyber Cement’s ongoing efforts toward sustainable development and community welfare.

During the visit, Team Khyber briefed Dr. Mohiuddin and other dignitaries on the company’s CSR projects, emphasizing their commitment to fostering sustainable growth and improving the lives of local communities. Hamida Akhter, General Manager of the District Industries Center, Srinagar, also praised Khyber Cement’s significant contributions during the event.

As part of the visit, Dr. Mohiuddin and Mr. Riaz Trumboo participated in a tree plantation drive, reaffirming Khyber Cement’s commitment to environmental sustainability. Over the years, the company has undertaken various green initiatives, including large-scale tree plantations, lavender plantations, and the organization of medical camps.

 

Dr. Mohiuddin commended Khyber Cement for its impactful CSR efforts and innovative green initiatives. He acknowledged the company’s role in empowering local communities and fostering positive societal change in Jammu and Kashmir.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Riaz Trumboo, Director Khyber Industries Private limited said:
