22-year-old youth dies after Chinar tree branch falls on him in Ganderbal

Ganderbal : A 22-year-old youth died after a branch of a chinar tree fell on him in Patti Rampora area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, officials said.

An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the youth identified as oman Ganai of Safapora was passing by the area when some labourers were cutting the chinar tree.

He said a branch of the tree fell on Omaan, resulting in critical injuries to him. “He was immediately shifted to district hospita Ganderbal, where he was declared dead on arrival,” he said.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident.
