“Power supply in winters will be better compared to the past,” says Div Com Kashmir 

Srinagar: The divisional administration Kashmir on Wednesday said that all the arrangements have been put in place ahead of the 40-day harshest winter period—Chillai-Kalan, saying that the major roads except a few are through despite the fresh snowfall.

Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, V K Bidhuri said that 50 Distribution Transformers are facing damage on a regular basis, adding that all the damaged DTs except six have been repaired till now.

He added that the power supply in winters will be better compared to the past. He added that at present all the receiving stations are presently functional as well.

Bidhuri also told the media persons that all the winter arrangements have been put in place while adequate stock of diesel, petrol, gas and other related things have been made.

He also said that only Razdan Pass and Zojila roads are closed following the fresh snowfall while the other major roads including Mughal Road and other are through for the vehicular movement.
