10,000 women-led businesses successfully established in district Baramulla: Dr. Hina Bhat

Srinagar: Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat, Chairperson of the Khadi Village Industries Board (J&K), announced on Monday that 10,000 women-led businesses have been successfully set up in Baramulla district and are doing well.

Speaking to reporters as per news agency KINS, Dr. Hina Bhat said that these businesses, supported by the Khadi and Village Industries Board, are changing lives and improving the local economy.

“Over the last three years, 3,500 new units have been created in Baramulla, providing jobs to 28,000 people”.

She also highlighted the contributions of disabled women, who are creating unique products and becoming independent.

During her visit to Sopore, Dr. Hina Bhat met 250 newly trained women entrepreneurs who have learned various skills.

She explained the financial support available from the government, including 50 lakh for manufacturing units and 20 lakh for service units.
