Srinagar: Faheem Zahoor, a remarkable young talent from Hill Top Educational Institute, has once again proven his mettle by bagging two gold medals in the 2nd All India Pencak Silat Championship and the 12th Pre-Teen Sub-Junior National Pencak Silat Championship, both held at the prestigious Sher-e-Kashmir Indoor Stadium. This victory adds to Faheem’s already impressive record, as he had previously won four national medals in Pencak Silat competitions.

The son of Zahoor Ahmad, Faheem has become a celebrated figure in the martial arts community, demonstrating exceptional skill, discipline, and dedication. His latest victories further solidify his reputation as a rising star in the sport, showcasing his ability to excel under pressure and against tough competition.

Faheem credited his family for being his biggest support system, especially his brother, Ashiq Zahoor, who played a key role in encouraging him throughout his journey. “My family has always stood by me, but my brother Ashiq’s constant motivation has been a major driving force. He believed in me even when I doubted myself,” Faheem shared.

Faheem’s success was made possible through the unwavering support of his mentors and event organizers. Coach Murtaza Bhat played a pivotal role in preparing him for the championships, while Nasir Diggo, President of the Pencak Silat Association, provided guidance and support to foster the sport’s growth. Event Manager Iqbal Sir and Sports Incharge Gazala Ma’am were also instrumental in organizing the events and encouraging young athletes like Faheem to perform at their best.

The Hill Top Educational Institute celebrated Faheem’s achievements with pride and enthusiasm. “Faheem’s accomplishments are a source of inspiration for all our students. His success reflects his dedication and the importance of hard work and perseverance,” said the school principal.

Zahoor Ahmad, Faheem’s father, expressed immense joy and gratitude. “Winning six national medals, including these two golds, is a phenomenal achievement. Faheem’s determination and the guidance of his coaches have brought this success to our family and community,” he said.

Faheem’s achievements have made him a role model for aspiring athletes in his school and beyond. With six national medals now to his name, he has set his sights on international competitions, where he aims to represent the country and continue his journey of excellence.

For Faheem Zahoor, this is not just a victory but a stepping stone toward even greater heights in the world of Pencak Silat.
