Territorial Army recruitment rally concludes successfully in Kashmir: Army

Event witnesses unprecedented participation of youth: Defence Spokesman

Srinagar : The  Army has successfully conducted a large-scale Territorial Army (TA) recruitment rally across the Kashmir Valley, covering Kupwara, Baramulla and the JAK LI Regimental Centre, from November 8 to 27.
The event witnessed unprecedented participation, marking it as one of the most significant recruitment efforts in the region post-COVID-19.
Defence Spokesman in a statement to NVI described the event as a “testament to the dedication and passion of Kashmiri youth toward nation-building.” The rally provided a platform for aspirants to join the Territorial Army, symbolizing a collective shift toward peace and development in the Valley.
Thousands of candidates participated in the rally, driven by the desire to serve the nation. Families played a vital role in motivating the youth, with relatives often seen cheering them on during the physical tests. “The enthusiasm of the candidates and their supporters reflects the positive winds of change in the region,” the spokesman said
The recruitment drive emphasized a fair and merit-based selection process. Candidates who cleared the initial physical tests will now proceed to medical examinations, written tests, and aptitude assessments, after which the final merit list will be announced.
The rally highlighted the youth’s willingness to reject false propaganda and embrace roles that contribute to peace and stability. It also offered meaningful employment opportunities while fostering a sense of belonging among participants.
The collective efforts of the Armed Forces, civil administration, and local agencies ensured the rally’s success. It stood as a beacon of hope for the region, inspiring the youth to contribute actively to the nation’s development and prosperity.
This landmark event underscores the growing optimism in the Valley, signaling a brighter future for its youth and the community at large, the Army said.
