Youth Participation in sports vital for constructive society: IGP Kashmir

Anantnag: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone Vidhi Kumar Birdi on Saturday highlighted the significance of youth engagement in sports activities for fostering a positive and constructive society.

Speaking at a sports event organized in Anantnag, the IGP expressed happiness over the initiative, highlighting its potential to connect with the younger generation and guide them toward productive endeavors.

“I am quite happy and elated to see that such tournaments are being organized. These events provide us with an opportunity to interact with the people, especially the youth, understand their aspirations, and, in turn, guide them. More and more youth should participate in these sports activities and channelize their energy in a positive direction for the betterment of society,” the IGP said while speaking to KNS.

The IGP also reiterated the commitment of the Jammu and Kashmir Police toward public service, calling for greater cooperation between the police and citizens. “J&K Police is always in service to the people. We always like to see people cooperating with us so that we can work together for the betterment of society,” the IGP added.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local youth, reflecting the community’s interest in sports as a means of fostering unity and development.  (KNS)
