Srinagar: Sajad Lone, People’s Conference President on Friday, has called on the National Conference (NC) to provide clarity regarding its stance on Article 370.
Lone’s statement comes in the wake of remarks made by Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge, who recently clarified that his party has never discussed the restoration of Article 370, which grants special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
Lone expressed concern over the lack of transparency from the NC on this critical issue, questioning whether the people of Jammu and Kashmir deserve any clarification from the party. He said,
“Now even the All India President of Congress, Mr. Mallikarjun Kharge, has clarified that they never talked about getting Article 370 back. Do the people of Jammu and Kashmir not deserve even a clarification from the National Conference?”
