Srinagar: While regretting the loss of lives in a road accident near Tengpora bypass Srinagar, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday underscored the need of adhering to traffic rules for safety.
As per the news agency CNS, two boys died and another one suffered critical injuries after a speedy Thar vehicle, in which three boys were travelling in, collided with a stationed tipper vehicle on Tengpora bypass.
On the fatal accident, CM Omar Abdullah said, “Heart breaking visuals. This accident claimed previous young lives & has had a devastating impact on their families. My heart goes out to the families of the boys killed in this tragic accident. May Allah grant them a place in Jannat.”
“Our cars get quicker, our roads get better but our road sense shows no sign of improving. Speed thrills but it kills with no remorse. Traffic rules are there for a reason, they keep us safe but only if we follow them, CM added.
