Amid wet weather, KPDCL puts all electric divisions on high alert for quick repairs

Srinagar: With cloudy weather and the possibility of rain and snowfall in higher areas, the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has put all its electric divisions on high alert.

A top KPDCL official told the agency KINS that this step is to make sure they are ready to fix any power issues that might come up because of the weather.

“KPDCL has asked its teams to stay prepared with repair crews and equipment on standby, so they can respond quickly to any outages and keep essential services running smoothly,” he said.

Local authorities have also asked residents to report any power issues right away and to be cautious, as the possible snowfall may harm the electricity in some areas.

Fresh snowfall was reported in several areas of the Kashmir Valley on Tuesday.

Gulmarg and Sonamarg also saw fresh snowfall, while Zojila Pass recorded a substantial amount of snow.(KINS)
