Traffic restored on Bandipora-Srinagar Road, BDS clears suspicious object

Srinagar: Traffic on Bandipora-Srinagar road was restored on Thursday after the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) cleared the area.

Earlier, an official informed the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a Road Opening Party (ROP) had detected a suspicious object in Nadihal area along the Bandipora-Srinagar road, prompting the call for a bomb disposal team.

As a precaution, the traffic on both sides of the road was halted.

However, upon reaching the location, the BDS found no explosive device or IED following which the road was reopened for normal traffic—(KNO)
