DC Srinagar inspects development works at JLNM, Gousia Hospitals

Stresses on early completion of all works to improve patient care at both the health facilities


Srinagar: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today visited the JLNM Hospital Rainawari and Gousia Hospital Khanyar to oversee the developmental works being executed for upgradation of hospital infrastructure.

Accompanied by Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad, Chief Medical Office, Dr Tahir Sajad and other officers the DC took stock of the works for development of parking space and other construction works at JLNM Hospital.

The DC directed the Officials on the spot to accelerate the pace of works on development of additional parking space being executed at a cost of Rs 29.14 lakh. He also stressed on early completion of works on repairs and renovation of wash rooms and allied works being executed at a cost of Rs 34.10 lakh.

The DC also visited Government Gousia Hospital Khanyar to inspect the works taken up for construction of waste management measures at a cost of Rs 22.14 lakh.

At both the health facilities, the DC asked for expediting all works in a time’ bound manner.

On the occasion, Medical Superintendent of the Hospital highlighted the need of the Hostel for DNB students.

While interacting with the Staff of the Hospital, the DC emphasized on ensuring better patient care facilities at the health facility so that patients do not suffer.
