Nizamuddin Bhat pays tribute to Devender Rana in J&K Assembly

Srinagar: In a touching moment during the obituary references in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Congress legislator Nizamuddin Bhat fondly remembered BJP leader Devender Rana, who passed away last week.

Bhat shared a personal memory of his early days in the assembly, recounting how he and Rana had taken their oaths together. He recalled an encounter in the canteen, where Rana had approached him with a smile, expressing his happiness to see Bhat as an elected member. Bhat described Rana as a person “rich in intellect” and praised his significant contributions to the political sphere.

Devender Rana, who represented the Nagrota constituency, passed away in a hospital in Faridabad. His sudden demise has left a deep void, and political leaders across the spectrum have mourned his loss.( KINS)
