Youth Hospitalized After Brutal Assault in Kanipora; Family Demands Justice

Srinagar: A 21-year-old youth sustained injuries after at least five assailants assaulted him over a financial dispute in Kanipora area of Srinagar outskirts.
The victim has been identified as Sahir Ahmad Malik, a resident of BK Pora.
According to Sahir’s family, the attackers brutally beat him, leaving him in a pool of blood before fleeing the scene. “We rushed Sahir to the hospital, where he is receiving medical treatment,” the family said.
The family told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that they filed a police complaint, and an FIR has been registered at Police Station Nowgam. They demanded swift action against the assailants, calling for their immediate arrest.
“We want justice for Sahir,” the family urged. “The perpetrators must be held accountable for their heinous crime.”
The Police confirmed the registration of the FIR and assured a thorough investigation. “We are investigating the matter and will take necessary action against those involved.”
