Anantnag: A devastating fire broke out in multiple locations across Anantnag on Friday, affecting one mosque and several residential buildings.
As per the available details with the news agency—Kashmir Bulletin (KB), the Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) teams, under the command of Anantnag district, responded promptly to a series of calls, working to contain the blaze and minimize damage.
At 2:53 p.m., F&ES Bijbehara received the first alert, reporting a fire in the Simthan area. The team responded swiftly and found a single-story house engulfed in flames.
Another team from Anantnag responded to a separate incident in Mirbazar Zoder at 2:46 p.m., managing to control the fire involving four haystacks.
At 3:25 p.m., another report came in, alerting authorities to a fire at Nandpora Khanabal, where both a three-story residential building and a mosque were ablaze.
In the meanwhile, the mosque suffered structural damage, while F&ES teams, including reinforcements, arrived on the scene and worked to contain the fire to prevent further spread.
