GANDERBAL :30 OCTOBER: To eradicate Drug Menace from the society; J&K Police District Ganderbal arrested 2 Notorious Drug Peddlers along with Contraband Substance in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kangan. The recovered Contraband Substance was seized on the spot.
Police Party of PS Kangan under the supervision of SDPO Kangan Shri Mohammad Ashraf-JKPS, headed by SHO Shri Mehboob Hussain laid Naka at *Pehelnar crossing Wanghat. During Naka Checking, 02 persons namely Mohammad Lateif Jagan S/O Mohammad Ayoob and Amjid Ahmad Jagal S/O Mohammad Yaqoob, both residents of Naranag Kangan who were coming from Naranag towards Baba Nagri Wanghat were apprehended alongwith Contraband Charas like Substance. The recovered Contraband Substance was seized from their possession & both the accused persons were arrested.
Subsequently, a Case FIR No. 78/2024, under relevant sections of NDPS Act stands registered at PS Kangan and further investigation taken up.
Ganderbal Police informs General public especially youth to refrain from Drug Menace or face the legal action under law.
