Livestock Theft Case Solved ,6 Accused Persons Arrested in Ganderbal

Ganderbal: In a statement, a Police official said that on August 18 2024, Mohammad Younis Jungle  reported the theft of his livestock (Sheep/Goats) at Badipathri Behek Naranag to police station Kangan. Following the complaint, a Case FIR No. 68/2024, U/S 303 (2) BNS, was registered at PS Kangan.

 

He said that the Police recovered 30 No.’s of stolen (Sheep/Goats) livestock worth lacs from the upper reaches of Gutlibagh Forests. Meanwhile, one person was also apprehended in the instant case who disclosed his identity as Showkat Ahmad Bhat S/O Abdul Ahad R/O Wurpash Ganderbal.

During the investigation, the aforementioned person confessed that he had committed the crime along with 05 persons namely  Shafeeq Ahmad Khan S/O Mumtaz Ahmad R/O Wurpash Ganderbal, Tariq Ahmad Khan S/O Farooq Ahmad R/O Wurpash Ganderbal, Irfan Ahmad Kataria S/O Farooq Ahmad R/O Chatergull Bala Kangan, Mohammad Reyaz Baniya S/O Beena Amin R/O Rajori A/P Chatergull Bala Kangan and Irshad Ahmad Raina S/O Abdul Khaliq R/O Gund Ari Kangan. All the 06 accused persons have been arrested & taken into the Police Custody at PS Kangan. Moreover, 02 vehicles bearing Regd. No.s JK05G-1602 and JK16C-1118 used in the commission of the crime were also seized. More recovery of Stolen Livestock  is expected.
