Vigilance Awareness Week celebrations commence at DC Office Srinagar

 

DM Srinagar encouraged officials to lead by example in promoting transparency and accountability

Srinagar: A massive awareness program was organized today at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Srinagar to mark the celebrations of Vigilance Awareness Week.

District Magistrate Srinagar Bilal Ud Bhat, Additional District Development Commissioner Srinagar Ghulam Hassan Sheikh, and other senior officials attended the program.

At the event, participants took an integrity pledge, committing themselves to uphold honesty, transparency, and accountability in their roles.

This pledge emphasized their resolve to oppose all forms of corruption, ensuring that their actions align with the principles of good governance and public trust. By taking this pledge, officials and participants reaffirmed their dedication to ethical practices, promising to act in the public interest and to protect the rights and interests of society at large.

District Magistrate Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat during the event emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in eradicating corruption during the Vigilance Awareness Week program at the DC Office Srinagar. He highlighted that fostering a culture of integrity within government institutions is essential for public trust and effective governance.

Dr. Bhat encouraged officials to lead by example in promoting transparency and accountability, reminding them that each individual’s commitment to honesty is crucial in the fight against corruption. He also stressed the role of civil society in supporting these efforts, urging everyone to work together towards a more ethical and transparent administration.
