Akhnoor: An encounter has erupted between militants and security forces in Batal village in the Akhnoor Tehsil on Monday.
The gunfight began after militants fired upon an army ambulance; however, there were no reported injuries.
In response to the attack, additional reinforcements were deployed to the area to conduct a massive cordon and search operation.
Meanwhile, sources indicate that two to three militants are believed to be trapped in the vicinity.—(News Vibes of India)
