Govt Will Serve All, Not Just NC Voters: Omar Abdullah in Jammu

Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday assured the people of the region that the government would address the concerns of all citizens, regardless of their political or regional affiliations.
“I want to assure the people of J&K that their problems will now be heard and solved,” Omar Abdullah said while addressing a gathering at the JKNC party office in Jammu.
He also responded to rumours suggesting that the people of Jammu would be neglected because they did not elect a National Conference (NC) candidate. “This government will work for everyone and will have representatives for everyone,” he added.
Omar also addressed questions regarding the appointment of a Deputy Chief Minister. While the government had no obligation to nominate a Deputy CM, Omar stated the decision was made to ensure broader representation.
“Our Deputy CM is from Jammu and belongs to Hindu community, and he has no connection to my family,” he explained, responding to concerns about NC being perceived as a Muslim-only party.—(News Vibes of India)
