Chancellor of Darul Uloom Deoband Meets Mirwaiz


Srinagar: Maulana Muhammad Sufyan Qasmi, Chancellor of Darul Uloom Deoband (Waqf)and  member of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board who is on a brief visit to the Kashmir along with a delegation of prominent scholars called upon Mirwaiz -e-Kashmir, Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, at his residence in Nigeen.

In a statement it is said that the two leaders held a meaningful discussion on the challenges confronting the Muslim world and the specific issues faced by Muslims in India. They emphasized the need for unity, collaboration, and proactive efforts to address these challenges.

During the meeting, Maulana Qasmi extended a formal invitation to Mirwaiz Umar Farooq to visit Darul Uloom Deoband, fostering closer cooperation between religious scholars and institutions. The Mirwaiz expressed appreciation for the invitation and stressed the importance of continued efforts to engage with scholars in finding solutions to the pressing issues faced by the Muslim community, reads the statement.
