J&K Chief Secretary flags off Kashmir to Kanyakumari Cycle Race edition

‘Among participants, many international cyclists as well, will make it an annual event’

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir’s Chief Secretary Atal Duloo Thursday flagged off second edition of Cycle race comprising scores of participants from across the country besides some international cyclists as well.

Talking to reporters, CS Duloo, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that today second edition of Cycle race from Srinagar to Kanyakumari. “There are scores of cyclists participating in the event. We are hopeful to make it an annual event next year,” Duloo said.

He said that next year more international cyclists are expected to participate in the event. Asked about the nature of support J&K administration is providing to the cyclists  all possible support as long as they are in the J&K territory. Once they cross it, they will get support from other States as well,” he said.

He said a lot of events have taken place in Kashmir and more are on cards. “On October 20, a big event Kashmir Marathon will take place in which we are expecting 2000 participants,” the J&K CS said.
