GCOPE’s Annual Leadership Camp Concludes

DG YSS Attends Colourful Valedictory Function

Patnitop: Apart from developing fitness and nurturing physique, Physical Education contributes in mental, physical and spiritual growth to enable overall development of one’s personality.
This was stated by Director General, Youth Services and Sports J&K, Rajinder Singh Tara, during the concluding function of 12-day long Annual Leadership & Training Camp, organized by (GCOPE) Government College of Physical Education Ganderbal at Youth Hostel, here.
65 girls and boys of the College attended the camp, which had begun on September 29, 2024.
DG Sports, who was the chief guest on the valedictory function said that holding of such camps immensely help in cementing the bonds of mutual harmony and brotherhood.
He interacted with the campers and encouraged them for such activities in order to learn leadership qualities.
College students also presented colorful cultural programmes representing the diversified culture of the UT of Jammu & Kashmir.
The activities carried out during the camp included Trekking, Camp Activities, Community and Cultural Activities, Painting, Crafting, Treasure Hunt, etc. The Camp concluded with Campfire.
Earlier, Dr Nazir Ahmed Wazi a senior faculty of GCOPE Ganderbal presented welcome address. While as vote of thanks was presented by Prof Mushtaq Azad
Lastly DG YSS distributed prizes among the position holders of Cultural Programme and other allied activities.
District Youth Services and Sports Officers of Udhampur and Ramban were also present in the glittering function.
