Srinagar: Senior National Conference leader Hilal Akbar Lone on Thursday claimed that MP Er Rashid and his associates are agents of the BJP.
“We have already stated that he is working at the behest of the BJP. He is their agent here, and all of his associates in his party are also BJP agents,” Lone told reporters, according to the news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS).
Lone, who won the Sonawari constituency by a significant margin, said he had expected to win with a margin of around 14,000 votes.
“We knew NC would win. We had expected this outcome, and the results confirmed it,” he said.
The NC leader added that they will focus on the development of Jammu & Kashmir. “We will continue to fight for the restoration of Article 370. We will raise this issue, even if it means going to jail,” he said.
