DHSK conducts extensive tour of JLNM Hospital, reviews functioning

Srinagar: The Director Health Services Kashmir (DHSK), Dr Jehangir Bakshi along with the Divisional team, today conducted an extensive visit to Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial (JLNM) Hospital Rainawari here to assess the current status of hospital facilities and address key areas requiring immediate attention.

During the tour, Director visited the CT Scan section and highlighted the need to expedite the delivery of the MRI machine, which has already been processed through the Jammu and Kashmir Medical Supplies Corporation Ltd (JKMSCL).

The Director stressed the importance of ensuring that the hospital’s Operation Theatres function 24×7 for conducting various specialized surgeries. He directed the concerned officers to prioritize the augmentation of both human resources and equipment required to make this possible, thereby enhancing surgical care at the hospital.

The Director conducted a detailed review of the work being done in the Surgical and Medical Intensive Care Units (ICUs). He examined the overall functionality of these critical care units and instructed to improve patient management and care delivery.

A thorough review of the Paediatric section was also carried out. The Director commended the efforts of the staff in managing patient care, recognizing the quality of services being provided to children.

The Director reviewed the Diplomate of National Board (DNB) Program, which has significantly contributed to the hospital’s patient care services.

Furthermore, the Director reviewed the progress of various National Health Programs being implemented at JLNM Hospital.

During the visit, the DHSK was accompanied by MS JLNM Hospital and his team.
