NC, Congress workers celebrate election success, chant ‘Zyuon Ho Zyuon Zyuon Ho’

Srinagar: As vote counting for the Assembly Elections continues, party workers from the National Conference (NC) and Indian National Congress (INC) took to the streets Tuesday, chanting “Zyuon Ho Zyuon Zyuon Ho (We Won We Won)”.

With victories in three seats—Gurez, Hazratbal and Zadibal—NC is currently leading in 39 assembly constituencies, while its alliance partner, INC is leading in six.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), workers from both parties gathered outside the SKICC to celebrate the election results.

NC worker Ajaz Ahmad said, “This is a decision and victory of the people of Kashmir.” He said the voters have shown faith in NC and rejected the policies of the past five years.

Another NC worker, Mudasir Khan, said, “People of Kashmir have been living in open jails for more than five years. Now, they will have their own representatives to address their issues.
