Oscar and Grammy-winning composer AR Rahman has joined the team of the upcoming series Gandhi, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Hansal Mehta.
Rahman will lend his musical brilliance to the series, based on Ramachandra Guha’s writings, which explores Mahatma Gandhi’s life story.
“Gandhi is a deeply human retelling of MK Gandhi’s life story,” Mehta said. “Having AR Rahman on board is a dream come true. His music elevates storytelling and brings emotional and spiritual nuances to the forefront.”
Rahman expressed his excitement, saying, “Gandhiji’s younger life is a revelation. I’m honored to score music for this story, collaborating with Applause Entertainment and under Hansal Mehta’s direction.”
