Kulgam: Police established checkpoints at Khudwani Byepass and Gulab Bagh, leading to the arrest of two individuals possessing contraband substances.

In a statement issued to Asian Mail, Police spokesperson said that the police arrested Parvaiz Ahmad Sheikh S/O Abdul Rahman Sheikh R/O Kawaki Bazar Qaimoh, with 750g of cannabis. Another accused identified as Nizamuddin Kunshee S\o Mohd Abdullah Kunshee R/o Gulab Bagh, was arrested with 3kg of poppy straw, 3.5g of brown sugar, a digital weighing machine, and ₹29,750 in cash.
Meanwhile in this regard cases have been registered under the NDPS Act at Police Station Qaimoh and Qazigund.
